MailerLite

PUBLISHED PLAN REVIEWVisit official source
Explore MailerLite — affiliate link ↗

Start small, with forms and a landing page.

The Free plan brings campaigns, three automations and a landing page together. It is a useful starting point for a freelancer building a first mailing list.

Before you choose

The free subscriber ceiling is 250. Check both audience and sending allowances before your list grows.

A practical example
200 subscribers × 4 newsletters = 800 sends per month. That fits the published free audience and send limits, before automated emails.

Brevo

PUBLISHED PLAN REVIEWVisit official source (source: https://help.brevo.com/hc/en-us/articles/208589409-About-Brevo-s-pricing-plans; provider link not active)

Plan around daily sends, not just contacts.

Brevo publishes a free plan with 300 daily email sends and storage for up to 100,000 contacts. Storing a list and reaching that list are different things.

Before you choose

A 1,000-person campaign cannot reach everyone on the same day within the free daily allowance. Check a paid sending tier if timing matters.

A practical example
200 subscribers receiving one newsletter use 200 sends that day. A second send to everyone would exceed the 300 daily allowance.

03

Kit

PUBLISHED PLAN REVIEWVisit official source (source: https://kit.com/pricing; provider link not active)

Look beyond a generous audience allowance.

Kit’s free Newsletter plan supports up to 10,000 subscribers. Its creator focus makes it worth considering for a newsletter-led business.

Before you choose

Do not assume the free plan includes the automation and branding controls of a paid tier. Review the current plan comparison and recommendation requirements.

A practical example
A 2,000-subscriber newsletter fits the published free audience allowance. Confirm sending rules and the welcome sequence you need before migrating.

Illustrative workspace with a laptop and notebook for planning email campaigns.
Start with your workflow, then compare the plans.

A SIMPLE STARTING POINT

200 × 4 = 800

200 subscribers receiving four newsletters means 800 sends a month. Add welcome emails and follow-ups before you compare a plan.

01

Count your sends.

Multiply subscribers by campaigns, then add automations. Compare daily caps as well as monthly allowances.

02

Try one real workflow.

Create a signup form and a welcome email. Test with your own address before moving a customer list.

03

Check the local details.

Confirm your billing currency, taxes, support language and the provider’s data-processing terms for your business.

OUR APPROACH

Sources over scores.

Our guides distinguish published product information from our own interpretation. The email examples above use provider pricing and help pages checked on 7 September 2026. The use cases are our interpretation of those limits. We have not tested delivery rates, support quality or account workflows, and we do not award star ratings.

“For Europe” describes our audience. It does not mean every provider is European-owned, stores all data in Europe, or meets every business requirement. Confirm regional availability and contractual terms before subscribing.

Our original AI-generated illustrations are visual explanations, not screenshots of the products or evidence of hands-on testing.

Links and funding

We have confirmed affiliate relationships with MailerLite, EmailOctopus, Wondershare, ESET DACH and RoboForm. Links labelled “affiliate link” may earn us a commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Other providers remain research candidates without active provider links. A directory listing does not imply an affiliate partnership. Commercial arrangements do not determine whether we explain a product’s limitations.
