What the figures include
MailerLite figures below are US-dollar annual subscriptions shown in its official selector on 7 September 2026. The monthly equivalent is the annual bill divided by twelve; it is not a monthly payment option. Kit Free is a separate basic broadcast option, not a like-for-like paid feature comparison. Taxes, currency conversion, optional add-ons and introductory offers are excluded.
At 500 subscribers
Four campaigns require 2,000 deliveries. The checked MailerLite Comfort annual plan is $129.60, equivalent to $10.80 per month, with 5,000 monthly sends. That leaves 3,000 sends for other messages in this example. Do not confuse the number of deliveries with the number of campaigns: one message to 500 readers uses 500 sends.
At 1,000 subscribers
The baseline rises to 4,000 deliveries. Comfort is $205.20 per year, equivalent to $17.10 per month, with 10,000 monthly sends. If 100 new readers also receive three welcome messages, the workload becomes 4,300. For Brevo, the 5,000-send Starter tier has insufficient contact capacity for this list: its 10,000-send tier supports up to 1,500 contacts.
At 5,000 subscribers
Four newsletters consume 20,000 deliveries before welcome messages or follow-ups. Comfort is $529.20 annually, equivalent to $44.10 monthly, with 50,000 sends. A Brevo quote for exactly 20,000 sends leaves no spare capacity in this example. Request the next suitable allowance if your schedule includes additional messages.
When the zero-dollar option is enough
Kit publishes a free plan for up to 10,000 subscribers with unlimited broadcasts, so all three audience sizes fit that published broadcast allowance. Check the required automation, branding and integrations separately. A paid plan may still be necessary even when the audience fits. We have not verified every paid Kit tier and do not fill those cells with estimates.
Turn the price into a business decision
Add your setup time to the cash bill. As an illustrative assumption, four migration hours valued at $40 per hour cost $160 of your time. Saving $10 per month then takes sixteen months to offset that effort. Replace those assumptions with your own figures; this is a decision worksheet, not a prediction of your costs.
Before paying

Our figures are a dated comparison, not an offer or a claim that the lowest subscription will produce the best results.
